The problem: the full result doesn't always reach the family
On result day, many schools in Bangladesh send a printed card home, post the result sheet in a class WhatsApp group, or send a short result SMS. Each way leaves some families without the full result, or shows them more than they should see.
Cards don't always reach home
A result card in a school bag can get lost, crumpled or simply not handed over, and the family learns the marks days later.
Group posts show everyone's marks
A photo of the class result sheet in a WhatsApp group lets every family see every child's marks, and not every family is happy with that.
A result SMS has little room
One SMS holds only a short line, so a full subject-by-subject result is either cut down or split into several messages, usually billed one by one.
The office phone rings all day
Parents who didn't get the card or the SMS call or visit the office to ask for marks, one student at a time.
How EduFusion solves it
In EduFusion, sending is one tap after publishing. When you publish a class's results, EduFusion asks whether to send them on WhatsApp; say yes, and it sends each student's own result to the WhatsApp numbers in that student's preference, from your school's linked number, at a pace that protects the number.
Before
A card in the school bag, a short SMS, or the whole class's result sheet in a group, followed by calls to the office.
With EduFusion
Publish, then tap Send. Each family gets their own child's full result on WhatsApp, and the student sees the same result in the portal.
What's included when you send exam results to parents on WhatsApp
Everything that happens between publishing a class's results and a parent opening the message, with no extra work for the office.
Publish exam results, then notify parents
When the admin publishes a class's exam results, EduFusion asks whether to send them on WhatsApp. There's no campaign to set up, no message to type and no list of numbers to upload. It's a school result notification that carries the whole result, not just a line saying results are out.
A WhatsApp result message for every student
Each message carries the exam name, each subject's marks and grade, the GPA and whether the student passed. The numbers are the ones on your class result, worked out from your own grading rules, so one F still makes the result F with GPA 0.00.

An example result message
Illustration only, with made-up names and marks; the real layout may differ: Example School · Half Yearly Examination 2026 · Rahim (Class 9, Roll 12) · Bangla 78 (A) · English 84 (A+) · Mathematics 92 (A+) · … · GPA 4.83 · Passed. Your messages use your own exams, subjects and grading rules.
Sent to the right guardians automatically
Each student's WhatsApp preference decides who receives the result: the Student, Father, Mother and/or one or more custom numbers. It's the same preference your WhatsApp campaigns use, set on the student's record or in a CSV import.
Only their own child's result
Only the students of the class you published receive a message, and each family receives only their own child's result, never anyone else's. Nobody sees another child's marks, as they would in a result sheet posted to a group.
From your own number, at a safe pace
Results go out from the WhatsApp number your institute linked by QR code, the same link your campaigns use, so your WhatsApp must be connected. Messages are sent at a safe pace to protect the number, so a large class takes a while to finish.
The same result in the student portal
The student also gets a push notification, and the same result appears in My Results in the student portal, where they can download their own report card as a PDF.

How it works
- Connect your school's WhatsApp number once by scanning the QR code in Connect WhatsApp.
- Check each student's WhatsApp preference: Student, Father, Mother or a custom number.
- Enter the exam's marks; grades and GPA are worked out from your grading rules as you save.
- Publish the class's results when they're ready, and choose Send on WhatsApp in the box that opens.
- EduFusion sends each student's own result to their WhatsApp numbers at a safe pace. If WhatsApp is disconnected, the results wait and the rest go out after you reconnect.
- The student gets a push notification and sees the same result in the student portal.

Sending results: paper cards vs result SMS vs WhatsApp groups vs EduFusion
Schools looking for a result SMS system have a good reason: an SMS reaches any phone, including basic phones without internet. EduFusion sends the full result on WhatsApp, so families need WhatsApp to receive it; for families without it, the school can send an SMS campaign (SMS bought separately) to say the results are out. Here is how the four ways compare.
| What you need | Paper result cards sent home | Result SMS | Separate WhatsApp groups | EduFusion |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What the family receives | The full card, if it reaches home | A short text; a full result needs several SMS | Whatever is posted, often the whole class's sheet | Each subject's marks and grade, GPA and pass or fail |
| Each family sees only their own child's result | Yes | Yes | Not if the class sheet is posted | Yes, one message per student |
| Cost per message | Printing and paper | Usually billed per SMS | No charge per message | Nothing per message from EduFusion |
| Works on basic phones without WhatsApp | Yes, it's paper | Yes, any phone | No, needs WhatsApp | The result needs WhatsApp; an SMS campaign reaches any phone |
| Effort for the office | Print and hand out every card | Depends on the SMS tool | Post in each group and answer questions | Publish the results; sending is automatic |
| Comes from | Handed to the student | An SMS sender name or number | Often a teacher's own phone | Your institute's own WhatsApp number |
| Reaches the right person | Whoever opens the bag | The number on file | Whoever is in the group | Student, Father, Mother or custom numbers, per student |
| Same result in a student portal | No | Depends on the software | No | Yes, with a push notification |
How other school software in Bangladesh handles messages to families
We read what four well-known products publish on their own websites. All four list SMS, and Eduman says results are published by SMS and on its website. EduFusion sends SMS campaigns too, but each student's detailed result goes on WhatsApp, not by SMS. "Not listed" means we didn't find it there, not that the product can't do it.
| Listed on the website | School360 | Eduman | Witty EMS | ClassMate | EduFusion |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SMS notifications | Listed | Listed | Listed | Listed | Yes, SMS campaigns (৳0.40 an SMS) |
| WhatsApp messages to guardians | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Yes, including each student's result |
| Student or parent portal | Listed | Not listed (results on its website) | Listed | Listed | Yes, student portal |
| Push notifications | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Yes, when results are published |
| Messaging cost listed | SMS billed separately | SMS ৳0.40 or ৳0.60 each | SMS charged separately | SMS credit bought separately | WhatsApp: nothing per message; SMS ৳0.40 each |
| Free trial advertised | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | 14 days | 30 days |

Who it's for
Any school, college or coaching centre in Bangladesh that publishes exam results and wants every family to get their own child's result on WhatsApp, without waiting for a card to come home.
- The office, which publishes results and would rather not answer calls asking for marks.
- The principal, who wants every family to get the result privately, from one official school number.
- Guardians, who get their child's full result in the WhatsApp chat they already use.
