The problem: hidden prices and look-alike feature lists
Search for school software in Bangladesh and you'll find vendors calling themselves the best, prices behind a quotation form, and feature lists too long to compare. A school with no IT staff has little to go on.
Prices you have to ask for
On 19 October 2026, 4 of the 10 products we checked published no prices on their websites, so comparing costs means calling each vendor.
Costs beyond the monthly fee
Setup or installation charges, VAT, SMS credit and paid add-ons can add a lot to the price you first see.
Feature lists that look alike
Most products list fees, results and accounts, so a long list doesn't tell you which one fits the way your school works.
A demo, not a trial
Many vendors advertise a demo rather than a free trial, so you see their sample school, not your own students.

What to look for in the best school management software in Bangladesh
Seven things to check with any vendor, each with an honest note on where EduFusion stands. Every count below comes from the vendors' own websites, checked on 19 October 2026.
Published prices and setup fees
Look for a price you can see before you call, and ask about one-time charges. Of the 10 products we checked, 4 published no prices on their websites, and 6 stated a setup or installation charge, from ৳2,000 to ৳10,000 where the amount was given. EduFusion: ৳2,499 or ৳3,999 a month by number of students (up to 1,000, or unlimited), every feature on every plan, and no setup charge listed (see pricing).
A free trial on your own data
A demo shows the vendor's sample school; a trial shows yours. No product we checked advertised a free trial longer than EduFusion's 30 days, and only 4 of the 10 advertised one at all: ShikkhaPlus (1 month), OpenEduCat (15 days), ClassMate (14 days) and OurCampusBD (14 days). EduFusion: 30 days with every feature, and no payment details needed to start.
NCTB fit for question papers
If your teachers set papers from NCTB textbooks, check whether the software knows the curriculum. None of the 10 products we checked mentioned NCTB curriculum content on its website, and none of the 9 Bangladesh-built ones listed automatic question generation; ClassMate lists a question bank with a question-paper builder. EduFusion: the Auto Question Lab drafts up to 50 MCQs and 15 creative questions per paper from NCTB chapters for Classes 4–12, in Bangla or English, for a teacher to check before use.
Results and GPA the board way
Most products list GPA calculation, so ask about the details: does one F make the whole result F, is religion set up as separate subjects, and is there a class merit list? EduFusion: your own grading rules with grade points from 0 to 5, one F gives GPA 0.00, each student is graded only in the religion subject they sat, and report cards (one student at a time) and class merit lists download as PDF. Fees, and how guardians pay
Ask how dues, partial payments and receipts are tracked, and whether guardians can pay online through bKash or Nagad. All 10 products we checked list online fee payment by guardians on their websites. EduFusion: not yet. The office records every payment, full or partial, with discounts, dues and PDF receipts, and students see their fee history in the portal. See school fee management software.
SMS and messages to guardians
All 10 products we checked list SMS on their websites, and several sell SMS credit separately. None of the 9 Bangladesh-built ones listed WhatsApp messaging to guardians. EduFusion: SMS campaigns to any mobile phone, bought as packages at ৳0.40 an SMS, and WhatsApp campaigns from your institute's own number, such as fee reminders, announcements or a same-day message to the guardians of students who are absent today.
Who can log in, and who sees what
Ask who gets a login (admin, teachers, students, parents) and how your data is kept apart from other schools'. Of the 10 products we checked, 8 list teacher logins and 8 list a native mobile app. EduFusion: the institute admin and each student log in; teachers can't log in yet, and there is no separate parent login or native app, though the student portal installs on a phone like an app. Each institute's data is kept separate. How to choose, step by step
- Write down the three or four jobs that take your office the most time today, such as fees, results or question papers.
- Shortlist products that publish prices, and add up the monthly fee, setup charge, VAT and SMS for your number of students.
- Check each product's own website for the jobs on your list, and ask the vendor about anything not listed.
- Start a free trial where one is offered, and enter one class's real students and fees.
- Ask every vendor who owns your data and what happens to it if you leave, and keep the answer in writing.
- Decide on what each product did with your own data, not on the longest feature list.

Paper, Excel, separate tools or a school ERP

Six Bangladeshi school management products in alphabetical order, with EduFusion last. Each cell shows what the vendor lists on its own website: "Not listed" means we didn't find it there, not that the product can't do it.
