Choose the period you want to look at, such as last month or your own date range: the fee collection and expense totals follow it. The picker starts at **All time**, which covers every record.

3. Create exams and publish results as usual.
4. Open the dashboard to see the totals, this month's fee and payroll status, and the latest activity.

## Frequently asked questions about the school dashboard

**What is a school dashboard?**

It is one screen that shows a school's main numbers together, so the head doesn't have to collect them from different registers. EduFusion's dashboard is built from the student, fee, expense, salary and exam records the office already keeps.

**What does the EduFusion dashboard show?**

**Can I see a past month?**

Yes. Pick last month or your own date range in the date picker, and the fee collection and expense totals show that period. With All time selected, the totals cover every record and the two charts show the current month. Salary payments for any month are listed in the Accounts ledger, and each student's fee page keeps every month's fees.

**Who can see the dashboard?**

Only the institute admin. Students sign in to their own student portal, which has its own dashboard with their class, fees, results and study materials, and they can't open any admin page. Teachers can't log in yet.

**How do I make an MIS report for a school?**

EduFusion doesn't produce a formatted MIS report. The dashboard gives you the headline numbers for a period, the accounts ledger exports to CSV, and each exam's class merit list downloads as a PDF, so you can put a report together from those.

**Can I build a school management dashboard in Excel instead?**
